Ann Webb Price of Community Evaluation Solutions and I teamed up to write this book. It is based on our years of experience and extensive education and additional training we have both undertaken throughout our careers.
Along with my colleagues, Dr. Kyrah K. Brown, Justin M. Henry, MPH, Claudy Jean Pierre, BSPH, Tamaya Bailey, MSW, and Jerrise Smith I published a book chapter, Lessons from Conducting an Equity-Focused, Participatory Needs Assessment. This chapter is one of several really great chapters in the open access book, Case Studies in Community Psychology: A Global Lens that was co-edited by Dr. Geraldine Palmer, Todd Rogers, MA, Judah Viola, PhD, and Maronica Engel. December 2023 - Root Cause Coalition. I will be presenting at this conference with Ann Price on Connecting Community Members to Data to Achieve Health Equity.
November 2023 - Grant Professionals Association Grant Summit. I presented a session at this conference in Kansas City on Using Theory of Change for Effective Program Design and Development.
October 2023 - American Evaluation Association Conference. This year I collaborated with Ann Price to present a pre-conference workshop on Data Powered Storytelling for Coalitions. I also be presented with David Fetterman and John Baek on Artificial Intelligence Chat4 GPT, Wordtune, and Empowerment Evaluation: Real World Applications for Evaluation, and with Donna Mertens and C. Deborah Laughton on Telling the Changing Story of Evaluation.
August 2023 - Texas Evaluation Network. I was honored to be invited to be a keynote speaker at this annual conference. My presentation was Engaging with the Community for Participatory Evaluation.
August 2023 - I'm pleased to report that I will be the evaluator for High-Tech High Heels North Texas' work with Lancaster Independent School District!
August 2023 - The HRSA National Maternal Health Innovation Symposium. I collaborated with Dr. Kyrah Brown to present on Sharing Data with Community Coalitions to Create Action Plans: A Case Story.
July 2023 - Community Evaluation Solutions (CES) has added me to their team evaluating the Communities in Schools Georgia Acres Full-Service Community School project. I'm looking forward to working with CES and the talented team of evaluators!

June 2023 - Association for State Public Health Nutritionists Annual Meeting. Dr. Ann Price and I presented training on How to Use Data to Tell the Story of Your Work.
April 2023 - Healthy Futures' 12th Annual Symposium, Houston, TX. I am excited that I presented on Engaging the Community in Social Change: Sharing the Power.
April 2023 - I am excited to share that I will be collaborating with my colleague, Dr. Tasha Parker from the Institute of Development to evaluate services for the Maternal Health Equity Collaborative!
March 2023 - Grantmaking Professionals Association North Texas Chapter. This year I joined GPA and my local chapter, and what a welcoming group! In March I did an online presentation on Using Theory of Change for Effective Program Design and Development.
February 2023 - I signed the papers to start two new projects! The first is with CitySquare to evaluate their AmeriCorps program. I worked with them on past evaluation projects and am very excited to work with them again. The second is with Imagination Fort Worth where I will work with them on their evaluation protocols and reporting.
December 2022 - ToP Strategic Planning Course, Ashville, NC. I took some time to upgrade my skills by attending the Technology of Participation (ToP) Strategic Planning course with my business bestie, Ann Price. We attended the ToP facilitation course earlier this year In Fort Myers, Florida and love the inclusive style that brings out everyone's voices! Having completed this training and received my certificate, I am now ready to facilitate strategic planning using this inclusive and engaging method.
November 2022 - The American Evaluation Associaton Conference in New Orleans, LA. I am excited that this year we will be once again meeting in person. I will be collaborating for two presentations. The first will be a panel presentation on Voices of Decolonizing Evaluation: Moving from Discussion to Action with seven amazing colleagues. The second, with Ann Price and Geri Peak, will be on Reshaping our evaluation practice: No more program evaluation for us.
September 2022 - The International Conference on Community Psychology, Naples, Italy. I am off to Italy to present at ICCP22! I will be joining my colleagues Judah Viola, Geri Palmer, and Amber Kelly for a presentation titled Community regeneration across borders with an open education resource, and then collaborating with Ann Price to lead a discussion on Skills, techniques, and values for community consulting: A global view.
June 2022 - Canadian Evaluation Society
Ann Price and I went to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to present a 7-hour workshop on Evaluating Community Collaboratives for the CES Preconference. We also did two shorter conference presentations. We presented an Expert Tutorial titled Developing Effective Community Partnerships and participated in a story telling session to talk about Mismatched Evaluator-Funder Values: Know When to Fold.
June 2022 - American Evaluation Association Summer Institute. Ann Price and I taught two workshops this year at the Summer Institute in Atlanta, GA. The first was Evaluating Community Coalitions and the second was about Consulting with Communities.

On March 28th, Ann Price of Community Evaluation Solutions, Kamaladevy Sivalingham of Play for Change and I will be presenting on Practical Inclusive Evaluation Using an Equity Lens.

I collaborated with my colleague, Kyrah Brown, and the rest of our needs assessment team to write a chapter in this open-access, online text titled Lessons from Conducting an Equity-Focused, Participatory Needs Assessment – Case Studies in Community Psychology Practice: A Global Lens (rebus.community).
November 2021 - American Evaluation Association.
Two presentations I collaborated with were accepted and both were selected as part of the Presidential Strand. First, I served as the Chair and Discussant with my colleagues Matt Feldmann, Ann Price, Tamara Hamai, and Nina Sabarre to present Meeting the IC TIG Moment: Mastermind Groups, Office Hours, IC Topic Chats, and Squad Socials. The second presentation was with my colleagues from the Network of the National Library of Medicine, Asih Asikin-Garmager, George Salim, Hacer Karamese, and Brittney Thomas. We presented Building a Solid Foundation for Community Engagement Activities through Nested Logic Models.
