Spring 2018 Selected as the Evaluator for the Hogg Foundation's WRC Initiative

Susan Wolfe and Associates, in collaboration with Community Evaluation Solutions and JLM Research was selected as the evaluation team for its $4.5 million Collaborative Approaches to Well-Being in Rural Counties initiative. We will work closely with the project coordination team from Alliance for Greater Works and the staff at the Hogg Foundation to learn from and evaluate the development of community collaboratives in Bastrop, Brooks, Morris, Nacogdoches, and Victoria Counties.  For more information, check out this Hogg Blog: http://hogg.utexas.edu/learning-and-evaluation

December 2017 Susan Wolfe Joins the National Network of Libaries of Medicine Evaluation Office

I will be contributing my evaluation expertise to the National Library of Medicine's partnership with the NIH All of Us Research Program, a landmark effort to advance precision medicine. November 2017 - Susan Wolfe Selected as Editor of The Community Psychologist

Starting January 31, 2018 I will be the new Editor of The Community Psychologist, a Society for Community Research and Action publication. I am very excited to take on these duties with my Associate Editor, Dominique Thomas.

June 2017 - Recipient of the 2017 SCRA John Kalafat Practitioner Award

In June, 2017 I was honored to receive the John Kalafat Award in Applied Community Psychology. John Kalafat's life work integrated the principles and research of community psychology with their practical applications. This award is presented to individuals who exemplify John's unique characteristics as mentor, teacher, and advocate, and his passion in making the benefits of community psychology accessible to all. 

Coming in the Future -- A Guidebook to Community Consulting

Ann Webb Price of Community Evaluation Solutions and I have teamed up to write this book, which will be published by Oxford University Press in early 2018 through the Society for Community Research and Action's book series.

November 2018 Evaluating Collaboratives and Coalitions Workshop for SMU's CORE

On November 6, 2018 I will be presenting a custom workshop titled "Evaluating Collaboratives and Coalitions" for the Center on Research and Evaluation, Simmons School of Education and Human Development at Southern Methodist University. This six-hour interactive workshop will cover everything from coalition frameworks and dynamics to best practices for evaluating coalitions and collaboratives.

October and November 2018 Presentations at Evaluation 2018: Speaking Truth to Power

I will be presenting the  sessions listed below at the annual American Evaluation Association conference which will be held in Cleveland, OH Wednesday, October 31 to Saturday, November 3. In addition to my finally having a chance to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I will have the opportunity to network with other evaluators and pick up new skills and knowledge. October 2018 Presentation at the Healthier Texas Summit

On October 25, 2018 I will be co-presenting a session titled "Collaborating for Health Equity in Communities with Dorothy Gibbons from The Rose and Julie St. John from the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center at Abilene. The Healthier Texas Summit will be held in Austin, TX on October 25-26. The Keynote will be delivered by Vice Admiral Jerome Adams, MD, MPH, the 20th Surgeon General of the United States.
